Grand Rounds: July 17th, 2013

One of our own neurologists, Dr. James Stark, spoke at Grand Rounds this morning. His talk focused on the clinical associations of CSF oligoclonal bands. The discussion ranged from diagnostic and prognostic issues to the immunologic implications as to the cause of MS.

Tisch MS Research Center Requests Meeting with FDA

On Wednesday, June 12, 2013, Dr. Saud A. Sadiq and Dr. Violaine Harris met with a congressional supporter of our stem cell program. Following this discussion, The Tisch MS Research Center of New York submitted additional information to the FDA on June 18, 2013 and requested a formal meeting with the agency in the next 30 days.  We will keep you informed on the progress through an update on this website in approximately 6 weeks.

Grand Rounds June 19th, 2013

Beth DiBiase, Director of Social Work at the IMSMP, spoke at grand rounds this morning. Her talk was on the psychological impact MS has on our patients. The lecture was excellent and there was a prolonged discussion following, which involved every team in the center, from our administrative staff to physical therapy.
