Environmental Working Group's "Dirty Dozen" List

A plant based diet is one of the best dietary strategies both for MS and for general health. While the benefits of eating plenty of fruits and vegetables outweigh risks from pesticide exposure, it is still best to reduce exposure when possible.  A simple tool to minimize pesticide exposure is to follow the guidelines from the Environmental Working Group and focus on buying the organic option for the foods on the “Dirty Dozen” list.  These foods are found to have the highest pesticide content.  Alternatively, save your money on the “Clean Fifteen” as these foods have very little pesticide residue.  Click here to see the new list released for 2013: http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary.php
